What are your hobbies, interests, or talents outside of law?
Bowling, golfing, singing, and spending time with family.
Why did you begin practicing in your area of law?
I did not go to through my undergraduate studies planning to be a lawyer. Law school was a last minute choice and I had no legal background when I started law school. Law school was very foreign to me and I didn’t understand much of what was going on around me. However, I had owned real estate and even acted as a landlord for many years. Therefore, “Property” was the one class that I actually felt that I had some background in and I gravitated to Property and real property specifically.
What is a personal accomplishment you are proud of?
I am often told by complete strangers how polite and respectful my son, Odin, is and nothing ever makes me feel more proud. Both pride in Odin for the young man he is becoming and pride in myself and my wife, Katie, for managing to raise such polite and respectful boy.
